memorial day

Since moving back here we've joined in on Rich's parent's tradition of visiting family headstones on memorial day.  My family never did this, so it's nice to me to have this tradition.  This year we went up to peoa on sunday night and visited Grandma True, Grandpa Keith's and the Joyce's family's graves.  The cemetery is in a beautiful spot where it is always windy.  They put up a bunch of flags and they flap in the wind.  It makes for a nice ambiance.

this year a bunch of Richard's cousins were there - so it was fun to chat with them.  Anna had a great time with her second cousins (Trudy's kids) running around the canal.  We were a little leary of the game they were playing, but they had a great time!  She did NOT want to go home!

on memorial day we visited the graves of Paul's parents.   I don't know where the Taylors and the Bowman are buried, so we didn't visit their graves.  Maybe I'll find out for next year.
