birthday videos and a diaper head video (:

julia's bday and amber's visit

We celebrated julia's birthday a day early.  Amber stayed over friday night.  In the morning we made breakfast cupcakes for julia (basically pancakes with creamcheese and jam on top).  Amber was a great helper.  It's amazing what you can do at age 8!
Julia blew out her candle and said "more, more!"  So we lit and blew out her candle 5 times.
Here's the cute little breakfast crew.  Julia was so happy.  she loves to be sung to.
We kept her celebration real simple.  We went to wheeler farm and she petted the bunnies.
And walked around with her grandma and "pa pa" (grandpa) Buhler.  She wore her new dress from hawaii.
 buhlers on a bench.
julia anna and amber in the treehouse.
anna and amber sitt'n on the pot.
we fed and fed and fed ducks and geese.  Julia LOVES birds.  she was afraid of the baby chicks last week when we saw some at IFA in Vernal - but she liked these ducks.
In this picture shes singing twinkle twinkle little start to them.  It was a perfect place to go for her birthday, she just likes to bee bop around and look at stuff.
After a 3 hour nap we did presents.  In the pic above she is basking in us singing to her.  she loves to be sung to.
then presents from grandma and grandpa.  (thank you)
Ice cream cake from me.  This castle cake is all ice cream and cones.  Julia doesn't really like cake, but she looves ice cream!
Amber helped me make it.  Again, its amazing what you can do at age 8!  By the way, this cake took max of 5 minutes to make.  sooo easy.
 last minute assembly.
 julia!
 grandpa!
 grandma!
 amber!
 anna!
We bought a used trike for 15$ on amazon.  She loves it.  Can't quite pedal yet, but that's what the summer is for.  after that I went to womens conference and richard played with the kids outside. He says julia just sat on her trike until she went to bed.  what a perfect day for a perfect girl.
this morning (her actual bday) I caught her singing, laying on the ground and looking at the card she got yesterday from grandma and grandpa buhler.  She really layed for a good 5 minutes adoring that card.
Oh yeah!  we got a package from dorothy that we opened first thing in the morning.....I'll post a movie of that later.

french braid

After (almost) 28 years of living I finally figured out how to french braid!  The girls watched a whole episode of sesame street while I did this (thanks Joy and steven for netflix and the ipad).  I love doing anna's hair.

framily

so this is from a month ago.  Kaelie and Trina were in town at the same time!  WE were thrilled to have them over for dinner.  They are both pregnant.  Actually, all my friends from portland are pregnant and due at the same time.  Guess we missed that boat when we moved (;  The picture below is my with julia in my belly March 2012.  Below that is March 2014 with Trina and Kaelie.  It's so wonderful to have good friends!

Here we are at Trinas in-laws house.  We like to play over there.  Julia is adorable.  Have I said that enough lately?

The girls took of playing like they hadn't been apart.  Avrie, JJ and Anna.
Lornalee and Julia are about a week apart.  When JJ and Anna were this age they were already playing a lot.  The little ones have their big sisters and not really their own friends (yet).  We will get there!
I made some bread for everyone to share.  The girls loved it (:
We went to Cafe Rio.  Anna and Avrie danced and danced.  So cute.

Kaelie has an awesome camera and awesome camera skills.  Look at this pic!

 Dancing!
Julia peeking in the windows.   Look at the cute little bum.

Josie's cabin

Dinosaur monument near vernal.  We decided it was time to visit the Buhlers.  The girls love it. We love it.  So glad spring is here so we can come more often.
