Moving is rough. It's even rougher in the middle of January with 2 small children who are sick, a house that won't sell and winter weather (including freezing rain and 12+ inches of snow). But! How blessed we are to be staying with family who loves us and takes care of us. We are so blessed to have work here and to have things to do. here's a run down of our past week.
Saturday: make a rash decision to pack our moving truck by ourselves in one day. We did have a bit of help from friends and neighbors, thank you! We sure couldn't have done it with Anna there, so thanks for babysitting!
Sunday: finally get released from our callings at church. Kill time in an empty house. Have one last Sunday dinner with the nielsens.
Monday: Richard gone to work in Seattle, get house attic fixed, get other odds and ends fixed. Clean garage take bunch of stuff to the recycle center.
Tuesday: our last day at toddler time. Pack. Party with friends. Procrastinate getting our stuff in the car. Richard cmes home from seattle. Attempt to sleep with Julia in our room. Sleep deprivation begins.
Wednesday: pack up the cars and leave. Lots of crying. Drive to Pendleton before getting stopped by freezing rain and dense fog. Casinos are depressing places to stay, even if rooms are 50$ a night. Sleep deprivation continues. Buyers back out of buying our home.
Thursday: drive to mountain home ID. get stopped by weather. Mt home Hampton inn is very nice. Walmart does not sell swimsuits out of season. Toddlers can swim in anything. Julia sleeps in the bathroom. We get some rest. House back on market.
Friday: drive to bountiful. What are we supposed to do now? Weather is dreary, RED air day. Decide that Julia cannot sleep in the same room as us!!!
Saturday: move 5 years of life into a 10x25 storage unit. Not feeling great about my decision to move here before the house sold. So grateful for so much family to help us. Another red air day.
Sunday: go to church in old ward from growing up. Church always lightens my spirits. Snow. Lots of snow. A foot probably. Anna falls asleep during a movie, there is a first for everything. Get a new offer on the house for our asking price!
Monday: rich has first day of work. drives at 35 mph on freeway to get there. listen to anna sceam all day: I DONT WANT TO, I WANT TO GO TO BED! Anna has had an off and on fever for a few days. Take her to MD.she has RSV. My grandpa died today. He was a wonderful man and I'm happy he is with his wife and family. Funeral on Saturday, not sure if I'll make it with 2 sick girls.
Tuesday: that's tomorrow. I give up on being a good mom, now that I know what Anna has, I'm going to let her watch movies all day. The question is, what should I do with my time?! And how will I go running?! Isn't my life so rough? I hope I can get a chance to play in this snow soon! It is beautiful.
Yes, I will find the camera and start using it again soon. Oh and maybe I'll get my phone charged too....
