hAPPY halloween

richards real birthday and the week of halloween

 richard turned 34 this year!  he requested tres leches cake.  we had it for breakfast because we had a ward party that night.

 we bought him some new clothes, only one shirt fit.

 we planned to take remi and trac to the library since virginia has a newborn - but they were both sick so we went back to the millcreek library alone.  it was a good time.  they even had a halloween parade around the library and the girls got treats and candy.

 we went shopping at target after that.  we had a picnic lunch in their cafe.  the girls enjoyed that.  we saw rachel there and gave her a birthdya present (its her birthday on sunday).  Then we returned all richards shirts and went home.  Anna has music class, then we went to the ward party  - which was a chili cookoff.  I won 3rd place with my wheat berry chili.  wahoo.  Anna enjoyed seeing all her neighborhood friends there.

 On wednesday we didn't have spencer!  That doesn't happen often. we had to go visit teaching, which ended up taking forever - and we missed the puppet show that was happening at the library.  we walked down to the library anyways and just relaxed and read books and played.  julia bullied kids around there.  I pretended not to be her parent sometimes.  After julia's nap Julia wanted to make stuff out of this fairy book we got at the library.  so we made fairy crowns and wands.

 anna did a lot of cutting practice on wednesday and finally got to the point where she actually enjoys it.

 on thursday i went and picked up remi and he and anna played all day.  they are best buds.  he gets her to laugh so hard all day long.  i was able to get a lot of work done while they played.

then i went visit teaching and then rich and i did a realy round about attempt at fixing my broken brake lights on the corolla.  Turns out it wasn't a fuse problem - they both just burnt out at the same time!  Last night at 9 julia woke up in throw up.  she slept the rest of the night, but anna got up and couldn't go back to sleep because he tummy ached.  Then she barfed at 7.  We had to cancel watching spencer again.

We cleaned bathrooms this morning, then Julia pooped all over them several times.  she is having diarrhea and it's not jiving with her new potty skills.  oh well.

We went to dance class, the teacher told me that Anna is a beautiful dancer.  Which she is!

We raked leaves today, anna and I (while julia took a nap IN  a diaper).  She loved to help me put them in the trash can with her rake.  Then we danced together on the trampoline for a little bit.

We made a lasagne together.  Wow - my favorite broccoli lasagne is so good.  We used the red peppers from richard's garden.

We carved pumpkins and made rich's bday cake for tomorrow.  We had family home evening.  we had anna help us act out the story of Ammon (the first missionary as she tells me).  It was great.

After we got the girls in bed my parents dropped by to give us a TV so I can work out in the basement.  We are now a two TV household.  I'm so excited to be able to workout without waking anybody up!  Thanks for the TV mom and Dad.

It was a very nice monday.

Anna had her first primary program.  I cried the whole time because she was just like an angel up there.  she knew all the words and said her part so well.  It really touched my heart and made me feel so happy that she always wants to choose the right.   I used to sing "i love to see the temple" to her every night before she went to sleep (before julia was born).  It made me so happy to see her up there singing "I love to see the temple and I'm going there someday."  I hope she does go there someday!  And I can't even imagine how much I will cry when she does.

 after church we had richards bday feast (his bday is tuesday but we have a ward party).  then we went to see if our friend lily was home (she wasnt).  so we tried ada (also not home).  so we went home.

 who knew there were still flowers in october! (besides mums)

 anna rode her bike.  grandma buhler called.  anna rode and talked.  i thought i needed to document that.

 anna still plays the piano like crazy - i mean pretends to play.  she pushes keys and sings the words she reads in the books.  our dear neighbor carolyn brought over a bunch of music books for anna to read/play.  she loves them.

we had candles in rice pudding because it's fun.  we will make daddy a real cake later this week of course!  he has requested tres leches.

savannah grace - my newest neice!

my brother andy had his 4th baby saturday night.  my sister virginia is crazy fast about having babies!  They went in at 1 and had the baby by 4.  what?!  She is made for making babies!  She is cute little one (6 pound 14 oz).  little babies are just so peaceful and wonderful.  congratulations guys!
