Julia drank hers and moved in on zachie s and Anna's when hers was done. Swiping others treats must run in the family. I just dumped her in the pool when she was done.

89 degrees at 10 pm
It got to 105 today. That beats the record for today (104 in 1974). Also the hottest day ever in june. 114 in zion! I'm still sick and we sat like blobs inside. Actually we went to 7 peaks for a bit, then had good intentions of using our time wisely, but the heat beat us. I'm glad we live in a basement.

A good quote
"One of the greatest influences a person can have in this world is to influence a child. Children's beliefs and self-worth are shaped early in their lives. Everyone within the sound of my voice has the power to increase a child's confidence in himself or herself and to increase a child's faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through the words they speak." Rosemary Wixom
I had my first day of work today. it went really well. The office is just down the street from my brother Andy's house, so my sister in law Virginia watched the girls today while I went. I worked from 12:30-2:15. Not too bad! It's nice to not have to leave the girls too much but still have a good job.
After work we went to grandmas house and ran in the sprinklers. Grandpa asked when we were going to take him to the cabin again. He is aching to go. Grandma said "have a good time." She is not aching to go.

Oregonian Visitors!
I love when friends come to visit!
We set up the slip and slide for our friends Spencer and Kristin from Oregon.
The kids had a blast while I chatted Kristin's ear off!
Who knew two big kids could have so much fun in such a little pool.
I got to know Kristin because I was her visiting teacher. I am so grateful for visiting teaching, it has helped me to find some of my best friends, like Kristin! I made her some apricot soup, because she's the only other person I know that loves it as much as me! We had originally planned to play earlier in the week, but I got really sick so we only got 1 day of playing with them before they had to continue on their trip! It's wonderful living in SLC, almost everyone knows someone here, and since she has family here we will see her again I'm sure!
Anna and Spencer played the whole time without ONE fight! What?! I love nice friends.
Mean faces. Thanks for making time for us Kristin and Spencer!

pica baby
Look at Julia's walk. Isn't she adorable.
She's also a pill. Yesterday she ate the following things (that I know of!): toilet water, toilet paper, possibly anna's pee if anna didn't flush, bar soap, chalk, gutter water, more chalk, sticks, dirt and pool water. No wonder she threw her dinner all over the floor.
We went for a walk and anna was amazed by the REALLY BIG CAR! I told her it was a house on wheels. She said "we need one of THOSE!"
SLC doesn't have sidewalks, lame.
Julia sometimes lets anna hold hands.
anna wanted a picture in the middle of the street. Luckily there was minimal traffic and I obliged.
OH julia.
Anna's a cutie.
Here comes Julia. She's more pokey than anna.
Taking a rest in the shade.
I love all the different faces here. Zachary snuck out the doggy door again and was chill'n in the backyard in his pull up and pajama top.
Little friends. When they aren't fighting that is.
Julia! It's a good thing you take a nap everyday and go to bed at 7:30 or your mom might have to live in the coo coo house.

last thursday?
I think this happened last thursday. I took the girls back to the planetarium. Our little museum curator can't get enough museum time. She is her Grandpa Heiner's girl. He she is on Mars.
Babies on the moon.
Julia walking around while Anna (below small dot in green) watches a movie about rockets, landers and space stations.
When we got home Avrie came to play before she started home! When I got out anna's little people toys, Avries eyes lit up and she said "Yeah! this is Annas house!" They had a great time on the plasma cars too. Kaelie, her sister Kristin and her friend Olivia and I had a dinner of tortilla soup, chips and nielsens frozen custard. We talked about frand lloyd wright houses, bungalows and drove around salt lake oogling at cool houses. It was a fun girls night. It's always odd saying goodbye to Kaelie because it always feels like I'm still going to see her tomorrow.

bear lake
Richard wrote a century ride near Bear Lake last weekend. So we decided to invite the entire Heiner clan up to the Cabin to get in our adventure.
While waiting for Rich to finish the race we visited the heritage museum in Montpelier ID. Anna was adamant about visiting this museum. I think she is going to be a museum curator when she grows up. Here she is looking at some OB tools from the 1900's. Glad I didn't live then and need forceps.
Here is the old sewing machine.
The baby stroller was a hit. Too bad there were big signs all over that said "DO NOT TOUCH!"
Then we found a whole section of the museum about BERN ID. There were even pictures of our ancestors. Richard's dad's family, the KUNZ's were cheese makes from Bern Switzerland (let me know if I have this right Paul). There was a whole section of the museum dedicated to the Kunz family, complete with pictures.
Here is Rich and his friend marty after completing their 100 mile ride. Rich did pretty good on recovery, he didn't even throw up.
On the way home we saw 2 moose right in the road! Pretty amazing! Later that day anna and I played on the beach. We had a pelican land right next to us. It was beautiful!
Here is the whole clan at the cabin. from L to R (evan, chloe, virginia, andy holding remi, richard holding both girls, taylor, amy, gavin, jill holding jane, amber, grandpa glenn). It is my grandpa Glenn Taylor's cabin. He loves it there. I sat on the porch with him the first night and he told me he kept seeing bats. I didn't see any bats. But he is the PhD Veterinarian so Ill take his word, even if he does use a magnifying glass to read his mail. He hadn't been up to the cabin for 2 years, so it was good to see him there. He missed grandma too much though and had his bags packed and was sitting on his walker ready to go by the second day. Richard appeased him by taking him home early sunday morning. I think Richard was ready to get away from his sleep deprived whiny kids and wife.
Anna and Julia got in some good Grandma Heiner time. They love their grandma! Julia slept horrible the first night, she kept the whole cabin awake (close quarters). The next night we had her sleep in the closet in my mom's room. She slept through the night but was up at 5. My mom was nice and got up with her and fed her a snack and took her for a walk outside. Oh Julia you little charmer you! My mom and I drove home sunday afternoon and the girls slept the whole way. It was fun to chat with my mom. Who knew I would talk to my mom everyday when I moved back here. We never run out of things to talk about. When I was a teenager you would have never been able to convince me that my mom would one day be my best friend (well after richard that is).

Popped balls and pony houses
We've done too much and I'm sicker than a dog. So we spent all morning watching lady and the tramp. We also had cousins over and of course zach came down. Cherie popped a ball and the kids had a heck of a time playing with and fighting ver the remnants.
Later after everyone left I attempted a nap but to no avail. We watched "Mowgli and baloo" and then played with diaper boxes. Anna had the idea to make a pony house so I obliged since I'm too sick to move too much. It turned out cute. Complete with big and little doors. And heart windows. It was fun to make together.

Avrie and Kaelie
Our dear friends from Portland are here to visit! Hooray! I first met Kaelie while I was prego with Anna. They had recently moved into the ward and Richard said "hey, I helped some people move in, they have a newborn girl, we should be friends with them." When richard says he wants to be friends with someone I say okay. And I'm glad we became friends. Kaelie brought a lot of sunshine to those dark rainy days in Sherwood during the winter. We planned parties, preschool, bookclub and playgroups together. We toured portland together. We made balls out of mud. We cried over stupid things and serious things. We watched eachother grow and we've watched our girlies grow. My friendship with Kaelie reminds me of a quote from conference by Richard G Scott: Be a true friend. This kind of enduring friendship is like asphalt that fills the potholes of life and makes the journey smoother and more pleasant.
Leaving Kaelie in Sherwood was hard to do, but moving to Utah is nice because almost everyone I know has at least some family here! Kaelie's sister happens to live on my same street, just a few miles down.
The girls danced. Anna showed Avrie her ballet moves, complete with instructions on where to place your feet (: Avrie showed Anna how people really dance. That girl has rhythm, even in a library.
Avries cute little face and blue blue eyes. She's beautiful.
Little cuties reading.
Julia was being a ham. She kept sitting in kaelie's lap and trying to get her attention. Or anyone's attention actually.
The nice thing about friends is they take your picture for you! Its a rare opportunity to get a picture WITH my girls! Here we are reading books. What's new.
Kaelie and I.
Kaelie has an AWESOME camera as you can see. I love this pic of anna getting another book.
I think this is my favorite of the day. What cuties. I love having little girls. I hope that someday we can live near Kaelie again!
