face painting

we went to one of those things where they try to get you to spend money on your kids.  everything was free but you know, its like one giant marketing ploy.  Anyways they are still fun and fancy face painting was FREE!  Luckily Aunt Virginia and Amy saved us a spot in line since we got there late.  All the cousins got their faces painted and listened to mountain man stories.  What a gang.  Anna wanted to be a princess since that's what her big cousin amber was....of course.
Prior to the "party" as anna called it, we hung out at grandma heiners for a while.  The girls love gardens.  We seriously inspected bees and flowers for at least 15 minutes in this one spot.
 look how big anna is!
we also went to the park.
self limiting steps are wonderful.  (if you are too small to be up there then you wont be able to climb the first step)
anna is learning how to climb!  finally!
anna diddle daddled on the way home and aunt viriginia took julia home.  they fed her junk food and she WOLFED those powdered donuts DOWN!

here is the mountain man.  there is something awesomely wrong with our kids.  gavin and anna are two peas in a pod.  they could have listened to mountain man stories all night.

anna thinking "oh cousin amber, i adore you, i want to get my face painted just like yours!" (she often tells me she wants to marry amber bamber).
evan the ghost?  zombie?  i didn't catch what he was.
 anna sat so still.

 she loves it.
 what a princess!
janers.  she is so small to sit still!
 cousins!

anna posing (fist on chin) she loves my mom's neighbors yard.  we seriously spent 15 minutes there on the way home from the park.  this girl is a DILLY DALLY-ER

Anna and Amber look like Fairy Indians (real Indians).
