Christmas!

So after I finished that christmas eve post, anna woke up because she had pooped her pants.  I gave her a shower and while I was washing the poop off her pillow, she snuck in to see that santa had come and left her a note.  She was thrilled.  She was mostly excited that he had left her a stocking filled with toys!  I was amazed that she went back to bed, but she did.  She woke up at 5 and went up to visit grandma and grandpa first.  then she came down and peed her pants.  I guess she was so excited.  So we got up with her.  First we had her open the ballet bar that richard made for her, along with the movie and leotard.  That way we could put off opening presents until julia was born.

 She couldn't wait to give Grandma and Grandpa the homemade calendar she made for them.  I was thrilled that Anna was so excited about giving this year.  I worked really hard to get her excited about loving and giving to others.  I am so glad I did, because it made for the best christmas that I have ever had.

 She wanted to give grandpa buhler some gumballs.  Im not sure why, but she thought that is what he needed the most.

 Julia caught the spirit of giving too.  As soon as she woke up she found her gifts for grandma and grandpa and delivered them.  what a little doll.

 Her first gift was a dollar store figurine of ariel (from little mermaid).  She was delighted.  I dont think she's let go of this toy for more than 5 minutes since she opened it!

 Anna was excited to open her stocking too.  she got some paints!  hooray!  We put those away for a rainy day.

 Julia's packrat habit was fun to watch.  Can she hold more than she is in this picture above?

 I got them some boas from the $ store.  We are going to have good times dancing with those!

 Our neighbor from sherwood, Dorothy Thomas, sent some beautiful disney storybooks for the girls.  All gift opening paused while we read some stories.

 Anna was delighted.

 Rich and I got julia a pony purse.  This girl needs a purse!  She loves it.  Here she is swinging it around.

 I bought a junky toy for anna I wish I hadn't.  Its a little princess CD player.  The music is lame.  I want my money back.

 I got rich a headlamp for skiing up milcreek canyon.  He's been going at night cross country skiing on the road.  I also got him a robe.  He didn't get me anything because I asked him to save our money for a piano when we buy a new house.  HOpefully we will find one soon.

christmas eve

we had grandiose plans of taking the kids sledding/snowshoeing today.  All we did was clean the house and make some food for tonight and tomorrow.  how lame are we?  Actually, rich got out and went skiing up the canyon.  WE had the girls take a bath in 1 big tub!  Ron's upstairs (he's on a cruise).

At 4:30 we went over to gma elaines.  Aunt Annette, Uncle Eric and my mom were there (plus their families).  We had ham, rolls and appetizers.  First thing anna did was give out the gifts she made.  She made a place mat for grandma elaine and grandpa glenn.  She made some fisht hings for aunt annette and uncle bill.  Then she ran off with her cousins.  Julia also disappeared to go dismantle the tree I am sure.

  Grandma looked happy to have everyone around.  Uncle bill (annette's hubby) said he wanted to buy a million things for anna.  He mentioned that he was going to buy her a pink jeep (like the kind little kids drive around in).  I'm glad he settled on the pez dispenser.  I can't imagine having one of those with anna's driving skills!

 the buhlers came to join us.  im so glad.  i can't imagine christmas with out them!  I think we've had them with us every year since we got married (excluding our honeymoon).

 Julia reading a book in her new jammies from grandma buhler.  Anna wouldn't wear hers because she was stuck on wearing her nightgown.  Clara in the nutcracker "sneaks" down the stairs in a NIGHTGOWN.  And since our lives revolve around stories and ballet's we wear a nightgown to bed, especially on christmas eve.

 But julia is still easy going and snuggly in her christmas eve jammies.

 We didn't have time to make cookies.  So I suggested carrots.  Anna also wanted to add an apple for santa.  She wrote him a note which i wills ave somewhere.  "santa, i hope you don't fall off your sleigh"  "i wont u dol and a dol howz."  love ANNA.  Her christmas present desire changes everyday so we didn't get her a doll house, i hope she will be happy anyways.

 time for bed!  look at the load of gifts there!

I can't wait until tomorrow.  Anna and Boppee are such sweet hearts.  I can't wait to see them in the morning!  What a Gift God has given us, to know that I can be with my sweet little family Forever!
