We went to hill air force base with Paul today. He likes to shop at the commissary. I don't like shopping with my kids, but was glad to get a killer deal on laundry detergent. Thanks Paul! After that we headed up the road to Amy's. She bought a doll for Amber. We tried to fix it's hair. We sort of failed. But it was fun playing dollies with my big sister.
After that we played with our real life dollies. Amy made these tut's for the girls. Julia calls it her pretty and won't take it off. She loves it.
Anna felt like a real ballerina in her tutu. But that didn't stop her from playing trains with Evan. He's so nice to plaly with them.
trains and tutu's
When the big kids got home from school we went to the dollar movie "Planes" by disney. I didn't really like it. But Anna loved it. She talked about the movie the whole ride home. Here is gavin trying to hold julia. How did we get julia to stay during the entire movie? popcorn. lots of popcorn.
Another fun day with the cousies.

Paul and Joyce are here for 3 days. Joyce has a diabetes conference for work. Today we went to Wheeler farm. Julia LOVES ducks. It was her first word. (annas first was turtle). She had a blast chasing them around.
Look at how happy she is! She loves those ducks!
Anna was like "this is dumb, lets move on"
I dont know whats cuter, her little face or the way she's holding that creepy baby.
She held grandpas hand all around the farm. She loves her grandpas! she loves grandmas too, but it seems that she really likes grandpas.
anna loves this treehouse at the farm.
so here is josie (in vernal). with her puppies.
i love this. i laughed out loud actually. paul took this picture of the dad. gator.

We made it through yesterday, and today it's snowy!
Anna always has a hard time after I leave her. It takes a few days for her to get into the swing of things. It happened when we left her at amy's and when we leave her at grandmas. So yesterday was ROUGH. But today is better. We were going to aunt amy's but the freeway was clogged so I decided to just stay home and go tomorrow. The freeway was probably bad because it snowed last night! Hooray! We went and bought some sleds since we didn't make it on the freeway.
After I pulled the two of them for what seemed like forever (that's a heavy sled! sixty some odd pounds!), Anna pulled Julia and sang "jingle bells"
I told them I wouldn't pull them any more until they posed for me.
I went all out and bought two sleds. Hopefully they last us a while. Anna liked this orange disk.
Julia liked to lay in the green one. It was cold for her i think.
But she was relaxed and happy.
Anna went up and down and up and down.
While anna sledded julia just lay in the sled and did who knows what. Seriously for a half hour she lay in there daydreaming while little fluffs of snow fell out of the blue sky.
This is before the sleds with a different camera.
What a cutie! She looks Russian.
And here is the cutest little julia. what a snowball!

great aunt chloris
This is my Grandma Elaine with my Great Aunt Chlo. Chlo is 2 years older than grandma and lives in the bay area (has since 1960 she says). This is the first I've met her, but my grandma must talk about me because she knew all about my hiking and cooking and dehydrating food. She was very kind and different from my grandma. I asked her to share some stories about their childhood and she couldn't think of any. That makes me sad. I hope anna remembers and cherishes her childhood and that she and julia enjoy their sisterhood.
My mom's sister (great-aunt-annette) came to see Aunt Chlo. I've always loved my Aunt Annette because she is FUN. And Anna adores her too. She was teaching them ballet. She says, "keep your tummy in, arms soft, back straight" So cute.
Julia was a goof at grandmas. She was dancing and bannging pots and pans together - grandpa doesn't like her I think. He said "better stop the little one from doing that" or something to that manner. He's a goof ball. She was walking around with a roll at grandmas and aunt annette had her dog nacho there. Guess what happened. The dog ate the roll. THREE TIMES! julia cried like it was the end of the world, but she was totally taunting the dog. that girl is TROUBLE. She wanted her shoes on - on top of her jamies! What a goof ball! I love that girl. I couldn't give her enough kisses when she got home!

Here is anna reading. They got home this afternoon. First thing she wanted to do was eat halloween candy. Second thing she did was read.
I got these cool books at the library. They are like the ones you read in kindergarten (I think, i really wouldn't know). But Anna loves reading by herself. I am so proud (can you tell). I hope her love of books continues throughout her life. If she is at all like her aunt joy, I am sure it will.Julia was a goof at grandmas. THRILLER!
My grandma Elaine wanted to go to thriller (Halloween show put on by U of U). So she bought us all front row tickets. Here is Amber with a zombie. She was really scared throughout the entire show.
Amber and Jilly during intermission.
Me Grandma and my momma. Grandma was front and center, really! And there was a clown act. The clown came right down and pretended to kill grandma. Weird sounding I know, but fun.
Amy and Momma.
My aunt Holly (she is my mom's brothers wife) and her granddaughter trista (i think). Holly takes care of grandma and grandpa every day. She was the mastermind of the thriller show.
Zombies and grandma.
Amy and Amber bamber.
Mom took us to Chili's after.
Me, Jilly, Mom, being good balls. Thanks for dinner mom! It was a fun afternoon for sure!
