naughty naughty continued

the day continued in the same manner.  Anna peed her pants because she held it so long that she just couldn't hold it in long enough to get her pants and panties down.  So she peed right in front of the toilet and then I was on the phone with my aunt talking about my grandma and Julia got a measuring cup from somewhere and went in with Anna and they scooped water onto the pee peed floor (all within like 2 minutes while i was on the phone, this is why i don't talk on the phone!).  Awesome.

I was crazy enough to take them to the library and park where they didn't listen and kept taking their shoes off.

When we got home the craziness continued.  I don't remember what order these things happened but:  Julia ate laundry detergent, food from the garbage and tore pages out of books.  Anna poured salt in her eye and again washed her hair with hand soap in the sink again.  while rinsing salt out of anna's eye julia climbed up onto the kitchen counter and sucked toothpaste out of the tube.  I hope julia makes it through the night.  For some reason I don't feel mad at her at all, but Anna is just really mak'n me grouchy!

i think that's mostly it.  crazyness.  I need to get back onto my A-game!  I wrote up a schedule and am getting these girls (anna) back in line with her room time!

Naughty naughty

By 8 am I had the girls dressed the dishes done and Julia down for her first nap.  Anna wa reading to herself in her library.   I went out to trim sme bushes and weed.  When I came in to make sure everyone was still alive I heard Julia screaming but couldn't find Anna anywhere.  Julia's door was closed and the lights were off so I figured she just didn't want to sleep, but when. Couldn't find Anna anywhere I checked Julia's crib and sure enough the little rascal Anna had crawled into her crib using a toy box.  So much for getting yard work done.
Later I took them both out to weed with me.  They both helped but Julia pooped her pants (#2 for the day) so we had to come in and shower.  While I cleaned Julia, Anna got into the sink and attempted to wash her hair using hand soap.  She was soaked.  So I started at square one.  A mere two hours after getting dressed the first time we were already on outfit two for both girls.
After getting Julia dressed I noticed she has alligator skin so I tried greasing her up.  While attempting to do this she grabbed a handful of login and put it in her hair.  Hmmm looks like its going to be a great day.

rachel's house

Richard need to borrow a mtn bike from a friend for his trip this weekend (yeah, he's leaving over mothers day to go biking with my brothers).  Sooo I was a nice wife and drove up to logan to get it for him.  My girlfriend rachel came along and we went to visit her family in lewiston.  Her dad has some cows and chickens and such.  It was a wonderful time.  We even got to bring home fresh asparagus and spring carrots!  It's great having friends who love to garden.  Anyways, it was a wonderful time and anna couldn't be convinced to leave on her own.  Especially after she found the books!  Here she is playing with toys and rachel's nephew:

yes, we have some passive aggressive "lets not let the baby play with this" action going on here.

julia has a blanket like this at home, when she found it she snuggled up to it and started sucking her thumb and making her sleepy noise (hmmmmmmmmmmm).  It was so cute.

shopping I did! fishing they did!

So i went shopping and spent tons of money.  I don't ever want to do that again.  I think its probably better to just pick up something here and there as you see it on sale or whatever.  ANYWAYS.  While I went shopping richard took the girls and went fishing.  It was his way of conning his dad into helping him babysitt.  They went to strawberry reservoir.

doesn't this picture just say: fishing sucks.
doesn't this picture just say:  fishing is so fun!
two pictures of happy anna I guess fishing must be fun.
when asked what she caught, anna replied:  no fish, just WORMS!
 julia's first time forward facing.

one more thing

i think i'm entitled to go clothes shopping this weekend.

notice: same shirt.  same glasses.  probably same pants too.  I've actually had that shirt since my first year of college so there you go.  time to go shopping.  i don't love clothes shopping but I think it's time.

videos and anna is growing

This is julia at dinner.  kind of gross because i needed to get up and wipe her nose - but she's doing some weird stuff.  she likes to make me laugh.
i love julia in this video  and the mountains.  oh i love the mountains (if you didn't know)
please compare the last video with this video of anna hiking at age 15 months in portland.  She's getting a lot better.  Most days our hiking is just dilly dallying in the mountains, but she did good for me on my birthday.

hodgepodge

The pics off the camera this week.  I can't believe I haven't blogged for a whole week.  I've spent all my "screentime" catching up with friends!  Thank you for the birthday wishes, I feel humbled and loved!  You can see my delicious ice cream cake, my sunburn and the pearls rich got me in the pic above.  that cake is still in the freezer, I can't believe it has lasted this long!

We've had a fun busy week.  Monday we went to the aquarium.  Tuesday we went to story time and my grandmas, my mom was there so that was fun!  I made homemade gnocchi and cauliflower kukus.  both were delicious and I'm still full.   Wed we went to a friend in the ward's house, then anna helped me make broccoli red pepper lasagne and we took it to grandma elaines for dinner.  Today we went to the libary and my grandparents (its the last story time until fall, sad).  then we went for a hike with zachary in the afternoon.  They had some yummy rock "cakes".  crazy kids.  when we got home I made one of my favorite dinners - carrot and bell pepper stir fry with tofu.  Julia actually ate dinner so i had to take a picture (she's a picky eater).  When I got the camera out she made this funny face (bottom picture).  I'm not sure what that is but she kept making it.  I thnk she's trying to say cheese.  Anna, on the other hand, couldn't be bothered with dinner because she got so many good library books.  They are all about families and she's really into giving everyone a name.
